After this year's highly successful No More Heroes, from Rising Star Games, it seemed inevitable that there would be a second version. Announced at the Tokyo Game Show the other day, No More Heroes Desperate Struggle will continue on from this year's highly acclaimed No More Heroes. You continue to play as Travis Touchdown, and take on a mission of revenge after your best friend is murdered. Suda51, the game's creator promised an improved game engine, graphics, a busier Santa Destroy and a "much darker tone".

There are going to be two versions of Desperate Struggle (in the UK), one with the same 16+ age rating as the first No More Heroes, and a second with blood and gore, Rising Star Games confirmed to us.
A release has been penciled in for January 2010, but that is a very vague slot, as Rising Star Games also told us, the game's coding hasn't been started on yet!
