Budget Buys – Episode 1

Editor's note - a couple of weeks ago Nometet.com launched Nometet 2.0. The result has been more focus with the conent and the content itself has been more regular. With the post announcing the relaunch, I mentioned two new writers, the first of whom was Alec (catch his posts every Friday!). The second... I'm pleased to announce Lewis Procter from SavyGamer.co.uk will be posting some lovely Budget Buys every Wednesday (although not for the next couple of weeks, as he's at Glastonbury!). Here we go...

Hi there folks, my name is LewieP, you may know me from my videogames bargain blog SavyGamer.co.uk. I also write the RockPaperShotgun 'Bargain Bucket' every weekend.

This is the first of a new feature for Nometet, I'll be putting together a roundup of the best gaming deals every week across all formats. So without further ado, here is this week's selection:

Wii

Let's Tap - £17.49 delivered

Boom Blox: Bash Party - £23.99 delivered

Xbox 360

Street Fighter IV [Collectors Edition] - £27.89 delivered

Devil May Cry - £9.89 delivered

Shaun White Snowboarding - £11.73 delivered

PS3

Street Fighter IV [Collectors Edition] - £38.99 delivered

PS2

Persona 4 - £16.99 delivered

DS

Castlevania: Order Of Ecclesia, DS - £18.99 delivered

PC

Jericho, PC - £2.88 (Spend £5 or more for free delivery)

Virtua Tennis 2009, PC - £17.99 delivered

Of that selection, the collector's edition of SFIV on the 360 is pretty tempting to me, and I really liked the first Boom Blox, so I might have to pick that up (review here).

If that lot isn't enough for you, check out SavyGamer.co.uk for constantly updated bargains. I am taking the next couple of weeks off to go to Glastonbury, but I'll be back here on the 1st of July.

  • Not to be the party pooper, but when we say Budget, don't we mean less than £20? BBBP seems overpriced to me.... In my opinion, it's worth about £10 max.

  • It's good you pointed out a cheap PC game. People get so caught up with the latest releases but ignore the fact that you can get 5-6 really great PC games for £30 delivered on amazon!!
